How does a condenser work in cold storage?
29 Aug.,2023
A condenser is good at heat exchange efficiency. It acts as a heat sink determining the cold storage plant efficiency. The cold storage plant working is as follows:
- The compressor in cold storage compresses refrigerant vaporized to high temperature and high pressure, raising the refrigerant boiling point.
- The condenser liquefies the refrigerant vapor to a high-temperature and high-pressure state. Here heat rejection takes place.
- The condenser collects condensate in a reservoir and passes through an expansion valve. In this process, the temperature and pressure decrease from the earlier state.
- The liquid refrigerant low-pressure allows the passing of the heat of refrigerated space hot air, and it starts evaporating the refrigerant liquid. Thus the cooling is felt, and the atmosphere heat decreases.
- Blowers circulate to store vegetables and fruits in the chilled air and keep them fresh.
