Want to see a dinosaur? New exhibit at Cox Science Center offers kids an up-close view

19 Apr.,2023

Want to take a walk with your kids through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth?

You now have the chance as the Cox Science Center and Aquarium is presenting a dinosaur exhibit through April 30.

The Dinosaur Explorer exhibit includes animatronic dinosaurs and a chance to demonstrate how "our behaviors overlap with (dinosaurs) — even from so long ago. Visitors will be amazed at the human connection to some of these giants on display as well as fascinating fossilized casts, hands-on activities and more," said Kate Arrizza, the center's president and CEO.

Mateo Fernandez, an 8-year-old from West Palm Beach, imitates the movements of an animatronic hadrosaur while standing next to his grandmother, Steffanie Dolch, during the opening of the "Dinosaur Explorer" exhibit at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium on Thursday, September 15, 2022, in West Palm Beach, FL. Featuring animatronic displays and hands on activities, visitors to the exhibit can learn about the behavior, ecology and diet of various dinosaurs.
