Recycling is one of the most important keys to solving the world’s solid waste problems. Recycled paper requires about 60% of the energy used to make paper from virgin wood pulp. Every ton of 100% recycled paperboard that we use in our eco-friendly tubes at Yazoo is equal to the energy and landfill savings of 14 mature trees, 7,000 gallons of water, three cubic yards of landfill space, two barrels of oil, and 4,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity (enough energy to power the average American home for several months).
