1. What is multistage pump?

The multistage pump is a centrifugal pump that combines the inlet and outlet sections and the middle section through a pull rod. Its output water pressure can be very large, and it also relies on the rotation of the impeller to obtain centrifugal force. When the gas density reaches the working range of the mechanical vacuum pump and it is pumped out, and it will gradually obtain a high vacuum. The multistage pump realizes suction, compression and exhaust by the change of the volume of the pump cavity, so it is a centrifugal pump with variable volume.

3. The application of multistage pump

The serial pump is multistage sectional centrifugal pump with the excellent hydraulic model, it has advantages of high efficiency, energy saving, wide performance range, operating safely and steadily, low noise, long life and convenience for installing and repairing etc. It can deliver heat water, oil, corrosive or wearable medium by changing material of pump.

Type D pump is used in mine and urban project for delivering clear water without solid particles or other liquids which are physically or chemically similar to clear water. The temperature of liquids are not be over 80℃.

Type DM pump is used to deliver neutral water with solid particles below 1.5% (viscosity less than 0.5mm) and other sewage. It is suitable for using in steel factory and mine etc. The temperature of liquids can not exceed 80℃.

Type DF pump is used for delivering corrosive liquids without solid particles, the temperature of liquids is -20℃~105℃.

Type DG type pump can transport temperature is 20 ℃ ~ 160 ℃, - not containing solid particles, no corrosive liquid.. The inlet pressure of all above pumps is less than 0.6Mpa.

4. Repair and maintenance of multistage pumps

(1) Check the multistage pump pipeline and joints for looseness. Turn the multistage pump by hand to see if the multistage pump is flexible.

(2) Add bearing lubricating oil into the bearing body, observe that the oil level should be at the center line of the oil mark, and the lubricating oil should be replaced or supplemented in time.

(3) Unscrew the water diversion plug of the pump body of the multistage pump, and pour water diversion (or slurry diversion).

(4) Close the gate valve of the water outlet pipeline, the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum gauge.

(5) Jog the motor to see if the direction of the motor is correct.

(6) If the multistage pump is out of use for a long time, it is necessary to disassemble all the pumps, wipe off the water, and coat the rotating parts and joints with grease.

(7) Try to control the flow and head of the multistage pump within the range indicated on the sign to ensure that the multistage pump operates at the highest efficiency point in order to obtain the greatest energy saving effect.

(8) During the operation of the multi-stage pump, the bearing temperature should not exceed the ambient temperature of 35 ℃, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 80℃.

(9) If the multistage pump is found to have abnormal sound, stop immediately to check the cause.

(10) When the multistage pump is to be stopped, first close the gate valve and pressure gauge, and then stop the motor.

(11) In the first month of operation, the multi-stage pump should replace the lubricating oil after 100 hours, and then change the oil once every 500 hours.

(12) The multistage pump should adjust the packing gland frequently to ensure that the dripping situation in the packing chamber is normal (it is advisable to leak out in drops).

(13) Regularly check the wear of the multi-stage pump shaft sleeve, and replace it in time after the wear is large.

(14) When the multi-stage pump is used in the cold winter season, after stopping, it is necessary to unscrew the drain plug at the bottom of the pump body to drain the medium. Prevent freeze cracking.

(15) Start the motor. When the multi-stage pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum pump and see if they show proper pressure, then gradually open the gate valve and check the motor load at the same time.
