What can be done to change the effect of PCOS on Fertility

Despite some assumptions, there is not a significant difference between 3D and 4D ultrasound. In fact, they appear the exact same! This is because the fourth dimension used in 4D sonograms is "time." Meaning, when a patient is actively being scanned and the fetus is being viewed in real time, it is technically 4D.

When the image is frozen and stored as a single image, it is technically 3D. Different settings on the ultrasound machine can be used to change the appearance of 3D images (i.e. orange vs. a more doughy-looking pink image), but still/frozen images are technically 3D, while real time scanning or video clips are considered 4D.

Most insurance plans do not cover a 3D/4D ultrasound if it is not medically necessary. We at the Center for True Harmony offer discounted self-pay rates for 3D/4D ultrasounds that we extend to not only our pateints, but to other expecting mother's as well! Give our office a call for more information and to schedule!
